PHOTOSHOOT FAQ
How do I book?
Once you have decided I'm the photographer for you, simply get in touch via the contact section on my website. From there I will send you contracts and booking info, the session is only booked when deposit is paid and contract is signed.
When is the best time to have each session?
Maternity Photoshoot: 28-36 weeks pregnant
Newborn Photoshoot: Under 12 weeks old
Family Photoshoot: Right now
What happens at the session?
We will meet at our location, or meet at a parking place and head there together. We will start shooting in that area, I will gently prompt you and guide you to locations and poses. My family shoots are very child led, letting them be wild, chasing them, holding them, I will capture those beautiful in-between moments unfolding.
What if it rains?
I mean we do live in the UK after all so it is likely to happen now and again. If it rains we are able to reschedule for another date. I always check the weather leading up to a session so will be in touch if this is the case
Do you require a deposit to secure the date?
Yes, for all photoshoot bookings I require £100 deposit and the signing of your contract to secure the booking. The remaining balance is due no later than 48 hours before your session takes place.
how far in advance should I book my photoshoot?
The sooner the better if you have a specific date in mind. For newborns photoshoots I advise booking around 20 weeks pregnant. I schedule your session for your due date and when your baby is here just get in touch and we will choose a date suitable. For maternity sessions get in touch at the start of your second trimester to book your session for 28-36weeks pregnant.
where do your photoshoots take place?
In your home for newborn sessions and family sessions if you wish. For locations I can offer recommendations for beautiful spots around Chorley, Rivington, locally to myself in Lancashire. Alternatively if you have somewhere that means something to you, even better! We will meet at your chosen location on the day of your session and create some magic.
how long will it take to receive my images?
My turn around to receive your gallery is 2-3 weeks. Your digital gallery will be live for 12 months so please make sure you download your images. Also get in touch if you would like to order prints.
PERSONAL FAQ
what should we wear for our session?
I advise neutral colours, earthy tones and lovely textures as these work well with the aesthetic of my work. I have a client wardrobe that you will have access to for your session. I am also more than happy to help with styling for you and your family.
I don't like being in front of the camera
A lot of people don't to be honest but I will do my best to help you feel comfortable and guide you. Just being yourself and present with your loved ones will help you relax.
My children don't sit still!
That is why I encourage movement and play, along side the cuddling and embracing type of shots. Every family is different, we will take our time and we will go with your flow. After all I want these photographs to be authentically you.
Should we bring anything?
If you have littles then snacks and drinks are a must. Snacks that won't leave much mess, maybe some wet wipes just incase. If you have any props in mind you will like to bring feel free. Neutral, wooden children's toys, blankets etc.
How does your client wardrobe work?
I have a selection of beautiful hand picked dresses and robes for mamas to wear during our shoot, these are free to use and included in the session. Colours and styles that compliment my style, you will find these in my instagram highlights and my client wardrobe guide.
What happens afterwards?
Once we have had our session, I will send out a preview after a couple of days, I will be super excited to share with you the magic we created! Shortly after that you will receive the full gallery (all images are watermarked for previews and selections) From there you will choose your final 15 images and they will then be available to download.
