There’s something truly special about documenting a growing family, and this recent session at Fletcher Moss in Didsbury was no exception. A beautiful family of six, soon to be seven, came together for a relaxed and joy-filled summer evening session surrounded by soft grasses, blue skies and beautiful sunshine, the perfect setting for timeless Manchester family photography.


As a natural family photographer in Manchester, my approach is always to let moments unfold organically, I love to gently direct families and then let the magic unfold, prompting and guiding rather than stiff poses. just genuine emotion and connection. From the way the children cuddled into mum’s growing bump to the laughter shared between, cheeky personalities and brothers and sisters playing and laughing in the sunshine, I could certainly feel how loved baby number 5 is already!


The tones of their outfits complemented each other well and gave such a summery vibe to the session, complimenting the surroundings perfectly. Soft creams, gentle textures, and the natural landscape all worked together to keep the focus where it belongs on the family’s story. Fletcher Moss continues to be one of my favourite locations for family photography in Manchester. It's wild, open feel allows families to relax, explore, and simply be themselves. This session was a perfect example of how beautiful and meaningful photos can be when you embrace a natural, unposed approach.
